Paypal [x] “You may not use the PayPal service for activities that… relate to transactions involving…. certain sexually oriented materials or services.” See this blog posting for ways that PayPal will find to close or freeze your account. Do not use.

Square / Cashapp [x] - “… Will not accept payments in connection with… Adult entertainment oriented products or services (in any medium, including internet, telephone or printed material)”. Do not use.

Amazon [x] - Nothing was found on their legal page, but during a private chat they said, “All Amazon.com Wish Lists found to be used for purchasing items in exchange for legal sex work, be it camera modeling or otherwise, are not allowed and will be removed.” They went on to say that if you are found in violation of their rules, your wish list can be deleted. Multiple occurrences of rule violation and you can lose your entire account, including gift cards still remaining on your balance. Use with caution.

Greendot [x] -  Nothing was found in their Cardholder Agreement, but during a private chat they said, "The Green Dot Card cannot be used for adult website or adult services.“ Do not use.

WePay [x] - "…You will not accept payments or use the Service in connection with the following activities, items or services:

Adult or adult-related services, including escort services, adult massage, or other adult-entertainment services
Adult or adult-related content, including performers or ‘cam girls’." Do not use.

Giftrocket [x] Nothing was found in their legal page, but when asked about using the site for adult services in an email:

"Your customers can send you gifts through our site, but keep in mind that we are not a payment processor and that is not an approved use of our site. We also only recommend you only accept gifts on our site from people you know.” Use with caution.

Venmo [x] - “You agree you will not use the Services to violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation relating to sales of… certain sexually oriented materials or services”

When asked about using the site for adult services in an email: "We do not provide a payments product for any services or other business activity.  Our platform is for peer to peer transactions only.  At this time we cannot provide payment services for any transactions associated with goods or services whether or not the related content is adult.  Legal adult services will be reviewed on a case by case basis if and when we can support business transactions.“ Do not use.

Bitpay [x]  Nothing was found on their legal page, but when asked about using the site for adult services in an email:

"You are able to use as a paymnt processor for legal, adult purposes." Sex worker friendly! 

Sadly Bitpay has done a 180 and is no longer sex worker friendly: 

"Your use of the Services will not relate to the following prohibited activities:

.... Explicit sexual content" Do not use.

Bitcoin [x] Nothing was found on their legal page, but when asked about using the site for adult services in an email:

"Bitcoin allows you to accept payments directly without involving a third party intermediary. If you click through to the Bitcoin.com website, there’s info there on how you can set up a wallet and get started. Otherwise, there are also merchant processors that you can utilize, some of the biggest being Coinbase and Bitpay ." Sex worker friendly!

Coinbase [x] Nothing was found on their legal page, but when asked about using the site for adult services in an email:

 "As long as your company is operating legally and compliant with all state and federal regulations, you can use Coinbase’s merchants services." Sex worker friendly! 

Payoneer [x]  This company gave me a lot of hassle when I tried to get an exact answer out of them about what is allowed by the company or even a list of approved sites that they work with. Apparently you’re okay if you’re using one of their approved sites but DO NOT USE THE PAYONEER CARD FOR PRIVATE LOADING.

Quoted: "We provide payment options for people in the adult industry but they need to sign up through one of our partner companies in order to use Payoneer as a payment solution [like] LiveJasmin, Myfreecams and other similar sites.

"But please be advised that people working in the adult industry cannot get paid through the US Payment Service. Your Payoneer card is intended to be used as a payout solution, to get paid from any of our official partners or the US Payment Service. Your Payoneer account should not be used for the sole purpose of Private Loading. Under section 5 of the terms and conditions of that specific service does not support adult work. Please also note that the US Payment Service is not available to those residing in the US." 

Section 5 of the terms and conditions of the US Payment service reads, ”You will not accept payments in connection with the following activities, items or services [for] obscene or pornographic items, adult businesses or adult related services, including escort services, adult massage, or other adult-entertainment services, adult performer regardless of sexual orientation [or] personal use such as gifts, loans or payments from friends and family.“ Use with caution.

Verotel [x] Nothing was found on their legal page, but when asked about using the site for adult services in an email:

"We can work with online payments for webcam or phone sex, as long as it is implemented in your site with our payment gateway. We can only process for online content, downloads, videos, webcam chat, talk , etc. …If someone is to pay for a service and then there is a real life session that is offered later, we would not be able to process for this.”  (Online sex work is okay, RT sessions are not) Sex worker friendly!

Redpass [x] This company touts themselves as “The ultimate payroll solution for the adult entertainment industry.” Sex worker friendly!  Out of business ):

Snapcash [x] All payments sent through Snapcash are processed by Square, and Square didn’t make the list last time because they “…will not accept payments in connection with… Adult entertainment oriented products or services (in any medium, including internet, telephone or printed material)” and is not an approved sex work payment method.“ Do not use.

Google Wallet [x] - "Unacceptable product - Adult goods and services - Pornography and other sexually suggestive materials (including literature, imagery and other media); escort or prostitution services.”

Skrill [x] - “It is strictly prohibited or restricted to send payments in order to pay for and/or receive payments as consideration for the delivery of a) adult related and pornographic material including but not limited to websites selling videos/pictures and or DVDs of such; b) Escort services” Do not use.

2CheckOut [x] - Their TOS is very clear: “Prohibited products- Adult Entertainment (Sexually Oriented)” Do not use.

Intuit [x] - “We may terminate your Merchant Agreement without prior notice to you if you fall into one of the following categories and/or accept payment for… Lingerie or passion parties; adult DVD rental/sales; adult novelties; massage parlors (without licenced massage therapists); escort services; adult digital content.” Do not use.

Braintree [x] - A PayPal parent-company, they state “You may not use the Payment Services in connection with any product, service, transaction or activity that involves sexually-oriented or pornographic products or services.” Do not use.

Stripe [x] - “By registering for Stripe, you are confirming that you will not use the Service to accept payments [for] Pornography and other obscene materials (including literature, imagery and other media); sites offering any sexually-related services such as prostitution, escorts, pay-per view, adult live chat features.” Do not use.

Serve [x] - “… You agree that you will not… Use the Service to sell personal services that are illegal or sexual in nature; Use the Service to sell any items or material that are obscene, vulgar, offensive, pornographic, profane or sexually explicit or indecent items or materials.” Do not use.

Circle [x] - Nothing was found in their TOS, so I sent an email for clarification. They replied, “In general, if the activity is not illegal in the U.S. broadly and your local jurisdiction specifically it is considered to be permissible.We try to let our customers use our platform as they see fit as long as they do not violate any laws.” Sex worker friendly!   So it turns out that Circle Pay has done a 180 on us and is NO LONGER SEX WORKER FRIENDLY. Has already closed multiple sex worker accounts. “… you hereby agree that you will not:…. upload, display or transmit any messages, photos, videos or other media that contain illegal goods, pornographic, violent, obscene or copyrighted images or materials for use as an avatar, in connection with a payment or payment request, or otherwise” DO NOT USE.

WooCommerce [x] - Nothing was listed in their TOS, so I sent an email for clarification. They replied. “you are free to use it as you see fit. WooCommerce is an open source platform that can be used how the site admin would like to see it implemented - even if on the more adult spectrum. :) That said, the issue you may run into is your payment gateway. After chatting with my coworkers, it appears as though USA ePay is on the more "liberal” spectrum and you may want to look into adding them to your store.“ Sex worker friendly!

Eway [x] - Nothing was found in their TOS and during a chat with a customer service rep, they said "There is no official stance on using [eWay] for processing legal sex work. We don’t have an issue, our banks might.” Sex worker friendly! (Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia)

Dwolla [x] - Their TOS states “… you will not: Engage in transactions involving escort services,” and I sent an email to clarify what they do and do not allow. Their email stated, “Dwolla does not have a blanket yes/no stance on this. We have an internal process that reviews and evaluates each business and personal account that enters our network…. [Dwolla does] support the adult industry however we would require some additional documentation before we would be able to approve an account for the adult industry. The documentation we would require depends on what type of business account you would sign up for.” Use with caution.

IcePay [x] - Nothing was found in their TOS, so I sent an email for clarification. They replied, “Our Approval department has the final say in accepting business, but we do accept adult entertainment websites. But Adult is always high risk and thus falls in our Black Account with a monthly fee.” Sex worker friendly!

Paxum [x] - Their website states, “Any proceeds of the following activities, including but not limited to production, distribution and advertisement: defecation, bestiality, death or simulated death, rape or simulated rape, or any materials that depict explicit sex scenes or pornography involving a child or adolescent.” I sent an email to clarify and they said, “We have nothing against adult related business. The specified term is referring to extreme cases which are banned worldwide.” As long as you stay within their guidelines, you should be okay. Sex worker friendly!
